Dining Plan Change Request Form

Dining Plans may be upgraded at any time of the year to provide more meals. If you wish to downgrade a 2019-2020 dining plan or to cancel it for the fall semester, please complete the form below between June 1, 2019 and September 4, 2019 for the fall semester.  Downgrades or cancellations for the spring semester must be submitted between December 1, 2019 and January 22, 2020. There is a $50 Early Termination Fee for all cancellations (except December graduation withdrawal from the University, or study abroad) which will be billed by Student Financial Services.  Late changes or cancellations will not be accepted.

Please note: First year students, residential college students, and full Grant-in-Aid athletes living on Grounds may not cancel the second semester of their dining plan. They may, however, change to a different dining plan for the second semester, within the guidelines applicable to them. Any refunds will be made by the Student Financial Services Office, according to their refund schedule. If you have additional questions about dining plan changes, call (434) 982-5141. 

All change requests must be received by Dining Services by the deadline above. Requests made after the deadline will not be honored. Paper change forms are also available at the UVA Dining Administration office in Observatory Hill.

This is very important! 
Not paying your dining charges does not constitute dining plan cancellation. Sending the $50 Early Termination Fee to the Student Financial Services office does not cancel your dining plan. You must tell UVA Dining first or you are liable for any late fees levied by the Student Financial Services office. Your registration will also be blocked.

Meal Plans, plus dollar funds or meal swipes are purchased for use in U.Va. Dining facilities are for the personal use of the owner of the account or plan only and are non-transferable.  The Plus Dollar funds and meal plans cannot be used as a gift card or gift certificate.  Except as otherwise expressly stated in these terms, all Plus Dollar funds and meal plans are non-refundable and will expire at the earlier of: the last day of enrollment in UVA, the last day of enrollment in the dining plan, or the last day of the spring semester.
